I have a family law practice, because family law
matters are enormously important to my clients. I work determinedly to
support my clients through the process.
My usual fee agreement calls for a client deposit with billing on an
hourly basis. In some cases, I offer representation on a flat fee basis,
exclusive of any costs that may be incurred such as court filing fees.

Owing to the substantial cost, time and stress
that can accompany family law cases, my clients generally prefer
negotiated resolutions to trial. I work tenaciously on behalf of clients
in mediation to achieve favorable negotiated agreements. But sometimes
good faith negotiated settlements cannot be reached. While my family law
practice emphasizes practical, cost-effective solutions, I draw upon my
trial experience when it is necessary to take your matter to court.
In high net worth divorces, I assist clients in such matters as asset
valuation, property appraisals, retirement funds, property distribution,
and dissolutions, sales and reorganizations of partnerships, limited
liability corporations, corporations, and closely held corporations.
